How a Medjool is graded
Every date passes through Inés’s hands once. Weight decides the grade; skin and softness decide whether it is sold whole or goes to the baking box.

Delivery, returns and keeping
Delivery
Standard, 3 to 5 working days: $6. Express, 2 working days: $14. Free standard delivery on orders over $75. We ship Monday to Wednesday so no box waits in a warehouse over a weekend.
Returns
Unopened boxes can come back within 30 days for a full refund. If anything arrives crushed or not as good as it should be, send us a photo within 7 days and we will replace it.
Keeping
A month in a cool cupboard, six months in the fridge, a year in the freezer. Medjool do not freeze hard, so you can eat them straight from it.
Buyer questions
Before you order
Are the dates dried, or treated with anything?
Neither. A Medjool dries on the palm in the autumn heat. We pick, rinse, grade and pack. No sulphites, no glucose syrup, no oil to make them shine.
Do the dates still have their pits?
Yes, except the cacao-dipped box, which is pitted and filled with a hazelnut. A pit keeps the flesh moist and the shape whole.
Can you ship outside the United States?
Not yet. We ship to all fifty states, including Alaska and Hawaii at the express rate. Canada is on our list for next harvest.
Why is the fresh Barhi only sold in August?
Barhi are eaten yellow and crisp, a few weeks before they would soften. We cut the strands for about three weeks each August and ship them overnight. Join the waitlist and you hear first.
Can I order for a company or an event?
Yes. From twenty gift boxes we print your card, ship to many addresses and take 10% off. Write to us from the grove page with your dates and numbers.
